Dr. Malakondaiah Mannam, a 1985 batch IPS Officer, retired as Director General of Police of Andhra Pradesh. Before his appointment as DGP of Andhra Pradesh, he was working as Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of APSRTC.

He held the positions of SP of the Vigilance Cell in O/o DG Civil Supplies Department, Group Commander, Grey Hounds, Jt. Managing Director, Vigilance and Security AP Transco, IGP Police Transport Organisation, Chairman, State Level Police Recruitment Board, Director, AP Police Academy and Telangana State Police Academy, Joint Director, Addl. Director, Director and DG, ACB Govt. of AP during different periods.
