Mr. Prem Malik, who is known as a doyen of the Textiles Industry, is currently running a Management Consultancy in Textiles and also engaged in textile exports. He is a post graduate from Punjab University and has over 5 decades of experience in textiles and clothing.

He had worked as Executive Director of the main Board of M/s. Mafatlal Fine Spinning & Manufacturing Company Limited and M/s. Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Company Limited. He was the Chairman of Confederation of Indian Textile Industry and Bombay Textiles Research Association and the Vice Chairman of India ITME Society. He is currently the Chairman of Bombay Textile Research Association (BTRA), Mumbai. He is also a Past Chairman of Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council (Texprocil) and Past Vice Chairman of SRTEPC. He is a member/director of Textile Committee, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India.
